How do you connect HubSpot to Claude, and what can it do?

The HubSpot MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and Gemini read and update your HubSpot account in plain English. It covers contacts, companies, deals, activities, content and campaigns. HubSpot hosts it, you connect it with your HubSpot login, and HubSpot says every write asks you to confirm first.

What can it read and change?
- CRM records: contacts, companies, deals, tickets, leads, users, appointments, custom objects and segments.
- Activities: calls, emails, meetings, notes and tasks.
- Content: blog posts, landing pages and site pages, which it can also create, edit and publish (in Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini).
- Campaigns: campaign data and attribution reports.
- Marketing email: email analytics and drafts.
- AI search (AEO): share of voice and answer text from ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude, on Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise.
How do you connect it to Claude?
- In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, then Browse connectors.
- Choose HubSpot and sign in. The first person to connect a HubSpot account must be a Super Admin or have App Marketplace permissions.
- Ask a question, for example "Which deals from Google Ads closed this quarter?"
What limits does HubSpot state?
- Searches return up to 200 results per page; fetches by ID take up to 100 IDs.
- If Sensitive Data is switched on in the account, activities and conversations cannot be reached through MCP.
- EU accounts are routed through HubSpot's EU data centre.
How can a PPC agency use it?
These are our suggestions, not HubSpot's claims:
- Match Google Ads leads to deal stages and closed revenue, to see which campaigns bring sales and which only bring form fills.
- Pull closed-lost reasons by lead source, to find search terms to exclude or landing page messages to fix.
- Combine HubSpot's campaign attribution with ad spend from a Google Ads MCP server in one client report.
What did we do with it?
On 21 October 2026 we connected HubSpot to Claude and ran its account check. We have not used it on client work yet. It reported read and write access to contacts, companies, deals, tickets, tasks, notes, calls and products, and showed that campaign tools need a plan upgrade on our account. We did not change any records.
Questions
Is the HubSpot MCP server free?
- HubSpot does not state a separate charge for MCP. It says the Claude connector is available on all HubSpot tiers. You need a paid Claude plan.
Can it change my CRM?
- Yes. It can create and update records, pages and campaigns, and HubSpot says each write asks you to confirm first.
Does it work with ChatGPT?
- Yes. HubSpot runs connectors for Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and Gemini, all powered by the same server.
