Which MCP servers should a PPC agency connect to Claude?
By Tom Claydon, Co-founder, Nudge Search · Published 21 Oct 2026 · Updated 21 Oct 2026
Start with three: one for Google Ads, one for your CRM and one for reporting. For most agencies that means a Google Ads server, HubSpot for leads and deals, and Supermetrics for reports across channels. Add Slack for client alerts once those work.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants such as Claude use outside tools. Each server below connects Claude to one tool, so you can ask questions, and with some make changes, in plain English.

How did we build this list?
- We picked the tools a PPC agency uses most.
- Every fact comes from the maker's own pages, read on 21 October 2026.
- "What we did" says exactly how far we went with each one. Connecting a server and listing what it can do is not the same as using it on client work, so we say which.
The list
The order is not a ranking.
| Server | What it is for | Read or change | What we did |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Ads servers compared | 17 Google Ads options side by side | Varies | Use Nudge daily; the other 16 from makers' pages |
| Nudge (ours) | Google Ads management inside Claude, with approval and undo | Both | Use it daily on client accounts; private access |
| HubSpot | CRM, deals, content and campaigns | Both | Connected and ran its account check; changed nothing |
| Supermetrics | Reports across 170+ platforms; campaign tools in beta | Both | Connected and listed its Google Ads sources; read no account data |
| Slack | Client alerts, threads, canvases | Both | Connected and ran a search; sent nothing |
Coming next: Ahrefs, Windsor.ai and Google Analytics (GA4). We will add them once we have connected each one ourselves.
What should you check before connecting one?
- Can it change things? A server that only reads cannot break anything. One that can change things needs an approval step.
- Who runs it? Hosted servers take minutes to add. Ones you run yourself keep the connection on your own computer or cloud, but need setup.
- What can it see? Check which accounts it reaches and how to remove its access.
- What does it cost? Some are free, some come with a plan, and some charge per task.
- Does it handle client accounts? For Google Ads, check it supports manager (MCC) accounts and how many client accounts your plan allows.
Questions
What is an MCP server?
- A connector that lets an AI assistant such as Claude use an outside tool, like Google Ads or HubSpot, when you ask in plain English.
Do I need to code to use one?
- Not for hosted servers with a Claude connector, such as HubSpot, Supermetrics and Slack. Ones you run yourself, such as Google's Google Ads server, need some setup.
Can an MCP server change my client accounts?
- Some can. Use one that makes you approve each change, checks it against the live account and lets you undo it.
Which MCP server is best for Google Ads?
- It depends on the job. See Google Ads MCP servers compared.
