Is there a Meta Ads MCP server, and how do you connect it to Claude?
By Tom Claydon, Co-founder, Nudge · Updated 22 Oct 2026
Yes. Meta runs an official ads MCP server at mcp.facebook.com/ads, in open beta since 29 April 2026. It lets Claude and other AI assistants report on, create and edit Meta campaigns, ad sets and ads. Meta says "All ads are paused by default until you set them live", and business owners can set rules that limit what an AI agent may do.
Disclosure: Nudge publishes this page. We make Nudge, a Google Ads MCP server, and have no tie to Meta or the tools below. Facts come from each maker's own pages, read on 22 October 2026. We have not tested these servers.
What can Meta's ads MCP server do?
Meta groups its tools into reporting, ad creation and management, catalogs, signals and datasets, help and troubleshooting, A/B tests and lift studies, and activity logs.
Three safety points from Meta's own help page:
- "All ads are paused by default until you set them live."
- "Any actions taken on your behalf require your authorization through the AI agent."
- If you have full control of a business portfolio, you can set rules for each ad account, such as blocking budget edits or campaign creation, and the server enforces them. Meta's example is blocking budgets above $1,000.
For agencies: Meta says rules set by a partner business apply only to that partner's own people.
How do you connect Meta Ads to Claude?
- In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, and add a custom connector.
- Paste the URL
https://mcp.facebook.com/ads. - Sign in with your Meta business account and approve the permissions.
- Before you ask for changes, set your rules in Meta Business Suite under Settings, Integrations, Ads MCP server.
Meta says you may not have access to every tool yet while it is in beta.
What are the alternatives?
The order is not a ranking.

How can a PPC agency use it?
Our suggestions, not Meta's claims:
- Compare cost per lead across Meta and Google Ads in one question, with a Google Ads server connected too.
- Draft new ads and leave them paused for a person to review.
- Set account rules first, such as a budget cap, before anyone asks Claude to change anything.
